Be Inspired. Find the Spot. Take the Shot.

It all started when I saw this beautiful photo of North Window.

I was inspired and got the itch to get the shot myself. I did my research and googled several sources so I could learn; where to go, what to take with me and what time of day was best. I felt prepared and headed out to get the perfect shot.Upon arriving, I did some scouting and set up so I’d be ready at first light. As the sun rose, so did my disappointment as I discovered that all of my research wasn't enough. I was in the WRONG spot.

I took a few forgetable photos and with my head hung low, headed back to my car. That’s when I heard someone call out to me. I looked up and on a ledge was another photographer. He could see my problem and invited me up to join him. I set up with him and guess what, I got the perfect shot. I was in the RIGHT spot.

I didn’t know it that day, but that was the first Photo Ranger I would meet. He saved the day, my shot and launched the idea for this site.
